Welcome to Q.E.D.!
The Quality Initiative E-Learning in Germany (Q.E.D.) deals with the quality of further education, with particular emphasis on e-learning. In this context, it is intended that the promotion of standards and their integration in existing educational and business processes should create new markets and business models, especially for SMEs. Reference models are being built for the innovative application fields of mobile learning and rich media content, and the necessary tools are being created for the immediate application and utilisation of these models. This will secure the domestic competitiveness of SMEs in particular.
Q.E.D. – the Quality Initiative E-Learning in Germany – ensures high quality and new standards in e-learning.
Q.E.D. is a follow-up project of the support programme LERNET, in which various consortia develop new e-learning content and concepts for small and medium-sized German companies and for public authorities.
The goal of the project, which is sponsored by the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology (BMWi), is the development and establishment of innovative learning scenarios and of international quality standards in e-learning. To this end, Q.E.D. strives in the next three years to establish the mark of quality "E-Learning Made in Germany" and to develop appropriate tools.
